Tip of the week

Wardrobe Blues?

Some questions this week to get you really thinking about your clothes. To get the most out of this week’s tip really spend some time answering these questions.

How many items in your wardrobe do you absolutely adore?

Would you like more of these things that you love and enjoy wearing?

When will you treat yourself to something you love to wear?

How many items in your wardrobe do you wear regularly?

How many items sit there waiting for another day?

Why are you hanging on to those unworn items?

What one item can you throw away this week to make way for something you love?

Enjoy your clothes! Enjoy yourself!

Questions Answered
I am nearly clutter free now but how do I encourage my children to be the same? They seem to want to hold on to all thier old toys. Their rooms are such a mess. Help.

Firstly its very crucial to remember that children often form very strong attachements to things and usually adults have no idea how strong and important these bonds are.

Let the children keep the things they are attached to but encourage them to join in with clutter clearing. To start them off they could join you in one of your clutter clearing sessions. Comment on how good you feel when you have more space and things are tidy. Make it fun and give them a job to do - perhaps they could throw the magazines into the recycling bin!

You can then encourage them to have their own clutter clearing session. Make it a regular thing - perhaps before birthdays and Christmas to start with. If you tell them that they need to make space for their new toys they seem to find the task a lot more fun! I can't think why.
